Episode #140 is up- This week Matt sits down with Leslie Earl Lyman, Sky Conwell, & Eric Vernier at Eric’s Big Daddy E’s BBQ in Chino Valley, AZ.

Sky & Leslie were heading a Grand Re-Opening Party at Big Daddy’s following last year’s fire that shut down the popular eatery, and also used the event to raise funds for the Christian Pearson Memorial Fund. Christian recently lost his life in a horrible abuse incident that has and will continue to affect the community. A GOFundMe account has been set up to help his family deal with the tragedy.

Borrowing from comedian & friend of the show Steve Simeone’s podcast Good Times, where Steve & producer/co-host Lee Syatt close out each episode with a Gratitude List, this episode of The Mile High Show is a Gratitude List for our community- a chance for our guests to reflect on what they have to be grateful for in the wake of such a horrific incident.

Ted talks about his life as a Marine during the Vietnam War (much more fun than Platoon) his life in the corporate/financial world, & how he landed in AZ running a small publishing company. The two also talk the trial & tribulations of working for local media (specifically the characters that drove both of them out of our local newspaper offices).
